Conscious change!

A year ago since we started The Orange Rose. A year in which a large part of the business community experienced problems due to a faltering supply chain. And that had an effect on our work in a good and bad way. Businesses were looking for alternative ways to be supplied. We have helped many using some acrobatics, but it didn’t all feel good. And that’s the point, to feel good.

Over the past few months we have also been working on a change at the same time. A change that was made consciously, feels very good, and where, looking back on our first year and before, everything that has always been there for me comes together. For your information; for the people who don’t know me very well: I have been active in the plastic and packaging industry for about 27 years.

The requests we received largely came from this well-known corner, luckily also from other markets and there was something striking. The word sustainable was mentioned several times during conversations.

Sustainable in the sense of an alternative raw material or product for the existing. And in doing so, there was much more satisfaction, hence our decision for this change: we are going to specialize! Specialize in the following three main groups:

  • Bamboo
  • Cocos
  • Recycled plastics

Why these three raw materials? Bamboo and coconut are undervalued natural alternatives for existing materials and end products, recycled plastic is used but not enough. Given our geographical location, we are literally sitting on these three sustainable raw materials.

In the coming period (days/weeks) we will provide more information about these sustainable main groups. The possibilities and applications and what we do with them. As mentioned, we have been working on this change for a while and are in contact with some international companies to investigate new applications in laboratories and universities.
